Bio - Julie Anderson

I have spent most of my life surrounded by animals. It started as a child here in California with a desire to have many pets. Unfortunately, my parents put a limit on me! I learned the responsibility of feeding and caring for my own pets (cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, and other loving pets). Animals have always played a major role in my life.

As I got older, I looked toward the animal shelters and pet rescues for my favorite friends. I continue to support their efforts and appreciate their valued contributions and sacrifices.

Most recently, I have been a volunteer at the Marine Mammal Center in San Pedro. It is an extremely challenging job. However, it is so rewarding when you know you’ve saved helpless, sick seals and sea lions. You realize how connected we are to all living creatures and how important we are to each other’s survival.

I have had a very successful career in the hospitality industry in sales and marketing but wanted to continue with a more rewarding career—Pet Sitting. What I have learned over the years is to do what you love doing and everything else will follow.

As an environmentally conscious business owner, I've decided to ride my scooter to and from all my pet visits (when possible). I want to do my part in reducing my carbon footprint -- every little bit helps!
